Frequently Asked Questions About Tucson Care

Do you accept AHCCCS?
Yes. We accept AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid) including Mercy Care and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Give us a call to verify your specific plan before your first visit.
How soon can I get an appointment?
We typically have same-week availability. Fill out the form on this page or call us directly and our team will get you scheduled as soon as possible.
Do you treat children and teenagers?
Yes. We see children, adolescents, and adults. Common reasons families bring their children in include ADHD, anxiety, behavioral concerns, and mood changes affecting school performance.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes. We prescribe stimulant medications like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Concerta when clinically right. We also offer non-stimulant options. Each patient is evaluated individually to determine the right treatment approach.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any medications you currently take. If you have records from previous mental health providers, those are helpful but not required.
Do you serve patients in Green Valley, Oro Valley, and Sierra Vista?
Yes. While our office is in downtown Tucson, we serve patients from across Southern Arizona including Green Valley, Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Sierra Vista, and Casa Grande.
Do you offer therapy or counseling?
We are a psychiatry practice focused on medication care and mental health check-ups. We do not provide therapy or counseling, but we can help connect you with therapists in the Tucson area if that is part of what you need.
Do you see University of Arizona students?
Yes. We see many UA students dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and the pressures of college life. We accept most student insurance plans and work to schedule around class schedules when possible.
