Who We Help in Greensboro
Greensboro is a city of makers, educators, and healthcare workers. It is also a city where a lot of people are quietly struggling. We see teachers from Guilford County Schools who hold it together for their students all day and fall apart at night. We see nurses from Cone Health running 12-hour shifts on no sleep and too much caffeine. We see engineers at Qorvo and Honda Aircraft dealing with deadline pressure that follows them home.
We also see college students. Greensboro has two major universities -- UNC Greensboro and North Carolina A&T -- and thousands of students who are managing academic pressure, being away from home, and mental health issues that went undiagnosed in high school. ADHD is one of the most common things we evaluate in college-age patients.
And we see the folks working at Toyota's new battery plant, the warehouse workers along the I-85 corridor, and the small business owners downtown who do not have time to wait six weeks for a psychiatry appointment. That is why we keep open availability.
Our Approach
We are a psychiatric practice. That means we focus on medication management -- finding the right medication at the right dose so you can actually function. This is not talk therapy. If you need therapy, we will help you find a good therapist. But what we do is diagnose conditions and treat them with medication that works.
If you have tried medications before and they did not help -- or the side effects were worse than the problem -- we offer GeneSight testing. It is a simple cheek swab that shows how your body processes different psychiatric medications. It takes the guesswork out of prescribing.
We also do ESA evaluations for patients who qualify. And we see teens and adults 15 and older for ADHD and behavioral concerns.
For Students at UNCG and NC A&T
If you are a student at UNC Greensboro, NC A&T, Greensboro College, or Guilford College and you are struggling -- you are not the only one. College is when a lot of people first realize something is off. Maybe you cannot focus no matter how hard you try. Maybe anxiety has gotten worse since you started school. Maybe you are dealing with depression and it is affecting your grades.
Campus counseling centers have long wait times. We do not. You can usually get in within a few days. We take most student insurance plans and NC Medicaid.
For Working Professionals
Greensboro's economy runs on healthcare, education, manufacturing, and aerospace. People working at Cone Health, HAECO, Syngenta, and the city's growing tech sector deal with high-pressure environments that take a toll. Shift workers at manufacturing plants deal with schedule disruptions that affect sleep, mood, and relationships.
We offer appointments that work around your schedule. If you need medication adjustments, refill management, or a new evaluation, we make it simple.
Getting Started
Your first visit is about 60 minutes. We ask about your symptoms, your history, and what you have tried before. No judgment. No lectures. Just a real conversation about what is going on and how to fix it.
We accept most major insurance plans including Blue Cross NC, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and NC Medicaid plans like Healthy Blue, WellCare, and AmeriHealth Caritas. If you do not have insurance, we offer cash pay options.
Our Greensboro office is at 612 N Greene St, 27401 -- right downtown, easy to get to from anywhere in the Triad.
