Frequently Asked Questions About Greensboro Care

How quickly can I get an appointment in Greensboro?
Most new patients are seen within one week. We keep same-week slots open specifically for new patients. Call or book online to check availability.
Do you accept NC Medicaid?
Yes. We accept NC Medicaid managed care plans including Healthy Blue, WellCare, and AmeriHealth Caritas. We also accept Blue Cross NC, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and most other major plans.
Do you see children and teenagers?
Yes. We treat patients as young as five years old. ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral issues are the most common reasons families bring children to us. We work with parents to find the right treatment plan.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes. After a thorough check-up, we prescribe both stimulant medications (like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Concerta) and non-stimulant alternatives when clinically right.
Can I get an ESA letter at my first appointment?
ESA letters require a clinical check-up. In many cases, if you meet the criteria, you can receive your letter after your initial check-up. We follow all federal and North Carolina guidelines for ESA documentation.
Do you serve patients in Burlington, Winston-Salem, and High Point?
Yes. While our office is in downtown Greensboro, we serve patients from across the Triad -- including Burlington, Winston-Salem, High Point, Kernersville, Jamestown, and surrounding communities.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and a list of any medications you are currently taking. If you have records from a previous provider or therapist, those are helpful but not required.
What is GeneSight testing?
GeneSight is a genetic test -- a simple cheek swab -- that helps your provider understand how your body processes certain mental health medications. It takes the guesswork out of finding the right medication.
