Psychiatric Care in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Psychiatry and Mental Health provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, GeneSight testing, and ESA letters for adults and teens 15 and older. Our office is at 102 S Tejon St in downtown Colorado Springs. We accept most major insurance plans including TRICARE and keep open availability for new patients.

Who We Help in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs is a military city. Five installations. Over 45,000 active-duty personnel. Tens of thousands of veterans, military spouses, and families who know what deployment, transition stress, and the pressure of service feel like. We see service members and veterans from Fort Carson, Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base, Cheyenne Mountain, and the Air Force Academy. PTSD, anxiety, adjustment disorders, sleep problems -- these are not signs of weakness. Getting evaluated is the smart move.

But this city is more than its bases. We also treat aerospace and defense contractors pulling long hours on classified projects. Teachers in Academy District 20 and Colorado Springs District 11 who are running on empty. Healthcare workers at UCHealth Memorial and Penrose-St. Francis who take care of everyone except themselves. First responders who carry things home from every shift.

We see teenagers 15 and older too. Military kids who have moved five times before high school. Students dealing with anxiety, attention problems, and the pressure of holding it together when a parent is deployed.

Our Approach

This is psychiatry -- medication management, not talk therapy. Your first appointment is about 60 minutes. We ask direct questions, listen to straight answers, and build a treatment plan based on evidence -- not guesswork. No wasted time. No runaround.

If prior medications failed, GeneSight testing shows how your body processes different drugs so we stop guessing and start prescribing based on your genetics. We also offer ESA evaluations for patients who qualify.

For Students

Colorado Springs has a strong student population across several campuses. We see students from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Colorado College, Pikes Peak State College, and the United States Air Force Academy prep school pipeline. College-age ADHD diagnoses are common -- the structure of high school hid the problem, and now it is showing up in missed assignments, dropped classes, and mounting stress. We get students in fast and work with your schedule.

For Working Professionals

The defense sector drives this economy, but it is not the only employer. We treat employees and contractors from Northrop Grumman, L3Harris, Raytheon, USAA, T-Mobile, and the Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. High-security clearance jobs add a unique layer of stress -- you cannot talk about your work, and your mental health records feel like a liability. We understand that dynamic and keep things focused on getting you better.

Do you treat active-duty military and veterans?
Yes. We see active-duty service members, veterans, and military families. We understand the unique pressures of military life and treat conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
