Frequently Asked Questions About Denver Care

How quickly can I get an appointment in Denver?
Most new patients are seen within one week. We keep same-week openings specifically for new patients.
Do you accept Health First Colorado (Medicaid)?
Yes. We accept Health First Colorado along with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. We are not in-network with Kaiser, but cash pay is available.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes. If a controlled medication like Adderall or Vyvanse is clinically right after your check-up, we prescribe it. We do not require outside referrals or prior therapy.
Do you see children and teenagers?
Yes. We evaluate and treat children, teens, and adults. Common reasons families bring in younger patients include ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, a list of current medications (including dosages), and any prior mental health or psychological records you have. If you do not have records, that is fine -- we will start fresh.
Can I get an ESA letter at my first appointment?
ESA check-ups are available for established patients. We need to complete a mental health check-up first to determine if an emotional support animal is clinically right for you.
Do you serve patients from Arvada, Aurora, and Lakewood?
Yes. We see patients from across the Denver metro area including Arvada, Aurora, Centennial, Lakewood, Thornton, and Westminster.
