Frequently Asked Questions About Colorado Springs Care

How quickly can I get an appointment in Colorado Springs?
Most new patients are seen within one week. We keep same-week openings for new patients.
Do you accept TRICARE?
Yes. We accept TRICARE along with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Health First Colorado (Medicaid). We are not in-network with Kaiser, but cash pay is available.
Do you treat active-duty military and veterans?
Yes. We see active-duty service members, veterans, and military families. We understand the unique pressures of military life and treat conditions like PTSD, anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes. If a controlled medication like Adderall or Vyvanse is clinically right after your check-up, we prescribe it. We do not require outside referrals or prior therapy.
Do you see children and teenagers?
Yes. We evaluate and treat children, teens, and adults. Military kids deal with unique stressors -- frequent moves, deployed parents, new schools. We take that seriously.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your insurance card (or TRICARE info), a photo ID, a list of current medications, and any prior mental health records. If you do not have records, that is fine.
Will my mental health records affect my security clearance?
Seeking mental health care does not automatically affect your security clearance. In most cases, getting treatment is viewed positively. We keep your records confidential and only release information with your written consent.
Do you serve patients from Fountain, Monument, and Falcon?
Yes. We see patients from across the Pikes Peak region including Fountain, Monument, Falcon, Manitou Springs, Peyton, and Security-Widefield.
