What Is Medication Management?
Medication management is the ongoing work of monitoring, adjusting, and optimizing your psychiatric medications after the initial prescription. Getting the right medication is step one. Keeping it dialed in is the rest of the mission. Dosages change. Life changes. Side effects show up late. Your provider needs to stay on top of all of it.
What We Manage
We manage medications for ADHD (Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta, Strattera), depression (Zoloft, Lexapro, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta), anxiety (SSRIs, buspirone, hydroxyzine), PTSD (prazosin, SSRIs), bipolar disorder (Lamictal, lithium), insomnia (trazodone, hydroxyzine), and other psychiatric conditions. If you are on multiple medications, we look at the full picture -- interactions, timing, and combined effects.
What Follow-Up Visits Look Like
Follow-ups are typically 15-30 minutes. We check how the medication is working, ask about side effects, and make changes as needed. Early follow-ups happen every 2-4 weeks. Once stable, visits move to every 1-3 months. We stay accessible between visits for urgent concerns.
Insurance and Payment
Medication management visits are covered by most insurance plans including TRICARE. We accept Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Health First Colorado (Medicaid). Cash pay is available for Kaiser patients or uninsured patients.
Transferring Care
If your current provider has long wait times, limited availability, or has not been adjusting your treatment even though you are still struggling -- you deserve better. We accept transfers and get new patients in within a week. Bring your current medication list and whatever records you have. We handle the rest.
