Frequently Asked Questions About Boise Care

How quickly can I get an appointment in Boise?
Most new patients are seen within one week. We keep same-week slots open specifically for new patients.
Do you accept Idaho Medicaid?
Yes. We accept Idaho Medicaid, Blue Cross of Idaho, Regence, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. Cash pay is available.
Do you see patients from Meridian and Nampa?
Yes. We see patients from across the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, and Star.
Do you treat children and teenagers?
Yes. We see children, teenagers, and adults. Common reasons families bring in younger patients include ADHD, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes. If a controlled medication like Adderall, Vyvanse, or Concerta is clinically right, we prescribe it. Non-stimulant options like Strattera and Wellbutrin are also available.
Can I get an ESA letter at my first appointment?
In some cases, yes. An ESA letter requires a mental health check-up. If you qualify at your first visit, we can provide the letter that day.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any medications you currently take. Previous records or school check-ups are helpful if you have them.
Do you offer GeneSight testing?
Yes. GeneSight is a genetic test that shows how your body processes mental health medications. It is useful if you have tried multiple medications without success.
