Who We Help in Reno
Reno is not Vegas. The pace is different, the people are different, and the problems are different. This is a city of warehouse workers, teachers, nurses, students, and tech employees. The Gigafactory brought thousands of new jobs. Amazon and Panasonic brought thousands more. And the people filling those jobs need psychiatric care that does not have a three-month wait list.
We treat adults and teens 15 and older dealing with ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, OCD, insomnia, and more. Whether you live in Midtown, Somersett, Sparks, or South Reno, we are taking new patients and most people are seen within a week of calling.
Northern Nevada has a serious shortage of psychiatric providers. We are here to close that gap.
Our Approach
We do psychiatry. That means medication management -- not therapy. We evaluate you, figure out what is going on, and treat it. If medication is the right move, we start it at your first appointment. If previous medications have not worked, we offer GeneSight testing to figure out which drugs your body actually responds to.
We also provide psychiatric evaluations and Emotional Support Animal letters for qualifying patients. Your first visit takes about 45 minutes. Follow-ups are shorter. No wasted time.
For Students
The University of Nevada, Reno has over 20,000 students. Truckee Meadows Community College serves thousands more across multiple campuses. College-age patients are some of the most common people we see. ADHD that was missed in childhood shows up in college when the structure disappears. Anxiety spikes during midterms and does not come back down. Depression hits when you are far from home and do not have your usual support system. If any of that sounds familiar, we can help.
For Working Professionals
Renown Health is the largest employer in the area. The Washoe County School District is right behind it. The university employs thousands. Then there are the warehouse and manufacturing jobs -- Tesla Gigafactory, Panasonic, Amazon -- that brought a wave of new residents to the region. IGT and Sierra Nevada Corporation anchor the tech and defense sectors. Grand Sierra Resort and Peppermill Casino keep the hospitality industry strong.
High-demand jobs, long commutes to the industrial center, and the rising cost of living in Reno are a recipe for stress. We treat the fallout -- anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD, burnout -- and we work around your schedule to do it.
