Frequently Asked Questions About Phoenix Care

Do you accept AHCCCS?
Yes. We accept AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid) including Mercy Care and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan. Call us to verify your specific plan before your first visit.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We typically have same-week availability. Call us or submit the form on this page and our team will find the earliest opening that works with your schedule.
Do you treat children and teenagers?
Yes. We treat children, adolescents, and adults. Many of our younger patients are dealing with ADHD, anxiety, or behavioral concerns that affect school and home life.
Do you prescribe medications for ADHD?
Yes, including stimulant medications like Adderall, Vyvanse, and Concerta, as well as non-stimulant options like Strattera and Wellbutrin. We evaluate each patient individually to find the right fit.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, and a list of any medications you are currently taking. If you have previous mental health or medical records, those are helpful but not required.
Do you serve patients in Scottsdale, Chandler, and the East Valley?
Yes. We see patients from across the Phoenix metro including Scottsdale, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Glendale, and Peoria. Our office is in downtown Phoenix with easy freeway access.
Can I get an ESA letter at my first appointment?
An ESA letter requires a clinical relationship and proper check-up. We may be able to complete this during your initial check-up, but it depends on your individual situation.
What is GeneSight testing?
GeneSight is a genetic test -- a simple cheek swab -- that shows how your body metabolizes different mental health medications. It helps us find medications more likely to work for you and avoid ones more likely to cause side effects.
