What is Medication Management?
Medication management means your psychiatric medications are being monitored and adjusted by a specialist. Regular follow-ups, dosage optimization, side effect management, and timely refills -- all handled by someone who focuses on psychiatric care full-time.
How We Do It
Follow-up visits are 15-30 minutes. We check in on how you are feeling, whether the medication is working, and if anything needs to change. Stable patients are seen every 1-3 months. Patients on controlled substances or in the early stages of treatment may be seen monthly.
Medications We Manage
SSRIs (Zoloft, Lexapro) for depression and anxiety. Stimulants (Adderall, Vyvanse) for ADHD. Mood stabilizers (Lamictal, lithium) for bipolar disorder. Prazosin for PTSD-related nightmares. SNRIs (Effexor, Cymbalta) for depression and pain. Buspirone and hydroxyzine for anxiety. And more based on your clinical needs.
Insurance and Payment
Follow-up visits are covered by TRICARE, Blue Cross NC, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and NC Medicaid. Cash pay is available.
For Military Patients
We understand that military schedules are unpredictable. PCS moves, deployments, and training rotations disrupt continuity of care. We work with you to maintain consistent medication management even when life is not consistent. We can also coordinate with your military treatment facility if needed.
