Frequently Asked Questions About Fayetteville Care

Do you accept TRICARE?
Yes. We accept TRICARE Prime and TRICARE Select for active duty service members, dependents, and retirees. We also accept most major commercial insurance plans and NC Medicaid.
How quickly can I get an appointment in Fayetteville?
Most new patients are seen within one week. We keep same-week openings specifically for new patients and urgent needs.
Do you treat PTSD?
Yes. PTSD is one of the most common conditions we treat. We use proven medication approaches including SSRIs like sertraline (Zoloft) and paroxetine (Paxil), as well as prazosin for PTSD-related nightmares. If you need trauma-focused therapy in addition to medication, we can help connect you with local therapists.
Do you see military dependents and children?
Yes. We see patients as young as five, including military dependents. ADHD, anxiety, and behavioral issues related to deployment stress or frequent moves are common in the children we treat.
Will my command know I am seeking mental health care?
We are a private practice, not a military treatment facility. Your records with us are protected by standard medical privacy laws (HIPAA). We do not report to your command.
Do you serve patients in Hope Mills, Spring Lake, and Southern Pines?
Yes. Our downtown Fayetteville office serves patients from Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Southern Pines, Raeford, Sanford, Aberdeen, and surrounding communities.
Do you prescribe controlled substances for ADHD?
Yes, when clinically indicated. After a proper check-up, we prescribe stimulant medications (Adderall, Vyvanse, Concerta) and non-stimulant options (Strattera, Wellbutrin). Every patient receives a thorough assessment first.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring your insurance or TRICARE card, a photo ID, and a list of current medications. If you have records from previous providers or military treatment facilities, those are helpful but not required.
